Adelaide and Vincent

I made these guys for an RP I am going to do with an awesome person I met on some forums. We decided they are going to live in a universe where sorcery and other magical things never faded out and the world still progressed and became technological. But their tech stuff is just not like ours, and blends into their world. 

Adelaide and Vincent are like all my other characters, just losers trying to be NOT-losers except failing miserably?  

They wanted to learn a cool spell and they found the DIY at home version on a site somewhere and Adelaide tried it on herself first and blinded her eye. Then they found a professional to teach them, and used it on Vincent instead. So now he can see magical auras and other crap. Adelaide regrets being dumb about it. But they still do stupid spells and screw things up together sometimes. 

However, they do end up in a very bad situation that forces them to change. They both are forced to leave their homes and families and run away. It can be scary at times, but they are lucky to be together. Adelaide is a pretty amazing fighter, she starts off with just a dagger and her fists but acquires some pretty cool weapons on the way. Vincent helps in other areas, and found some uses for some weird leftover magical residue effects that he has.
